What QuikGIF Does

QuikGIF is a productivity utility that records a selected area of your screen and saves it as an animated GIF file. The app runs in the macOS menubar and operates entirely offline.

Data and Privacy

QuikGIF does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All recordings are created and saved locally on your Mac. The app makes no network connections. See our privacy information for details.

Permissions

QuikGIF requires the following macOS permissions to function:

Screen Recording — Required to capture the screen region you select
Accessibility — Required for global hotkey support

These permissions are requested on first launch and can be revoked at any time in System Settings.
